A lot might prefer to pop a few paisleys and flowers on their collar lining but not me. Two quintessentially British institutions, Fred Perry and Liberty have joined forces for Spring/Summer 2010’s Blank Canvas Collection.
The collection of four pieces is like going on a trip to Scandinavia. I’m definitely rewarding myself with two shirts next week and a pair of olive dudu’s from Brian.

PASTIS OU PèTANQUE
Bastille day isn’t until the 14th of July but the field (definitely not in the South of France) at Le Club has turned into a sea of blue and red ready for the 4th Pétanque tournament.
(Who doesn’t love a sport that can be played while sipping a glass of pastis and yes, my red shorts definitely looks good when paired with my pale blue oxfords.)

NODDING MY HEAD LIKE YEAH
Aside from me on the verge of pulling my hair with a nipper working on my communications deck for a new business client presentation, I will be doing my impression of a pro-active public relations practitioner, blogger and a ghost writer for a magazine, a role I think I do well unless Chicho’s willing to reveal himself.
Yesterday was the first day of Philippine Fashion Week and guess what, I wasn’t too happy. Can I just have my pasta chamba and a plate of crispy chicken from canteen?

UNUSUAL WEEKEND PREPSTER
Despite me wearing my white shirts to death and making sure my mum and our house help doesn't throw it out when I am not looking, I also love my perfectly-cut plaid shirts even before they became a craze.
(Don't fear the tailor. I am definitely having my new shirts altered the first thing I get up tomorrow)
Thanks to Kwannam Chu’s post on Rugger by Gant last Thursday, I ended buying four dress shirts at Ralph Lauren and another white linen shirt just to find out, all 5 needed to be brought to Mang Jojo for alteration but again, a bargain is a bargain.
(Salmon pink linen summer shirt also from Ralph Lauren)
Maybe I should start taking all the money I spent on shorts, shirts and trousers and buy a plane ticket to Europe.

WHAT YA SAY WE KICK THIS THING OFF AGAIN
After eighteen hours of no sleep and two hours on the road, three hour energy only gave me thirty minutes of energy before I passed out on my way back before dinner.
(My shorts are meant to be worn short, really short)
You don't really want to be my shoes unless you like to be worn hard.

BLOGGING KANYE
I was never a fan of Louis Vuitton or anything with a monogrammed logo but Kanye pretty much pulled it off with confidence. He may be "misunderstood" 99 % of the time but I tell you, he brings design, love and passion to a world lacking all of it.

He looks absolutely great!

RAW NOSTALGIA AND LITTLE RED RIDING SHORTS
I couldn’t believe mum just told me I look like a hobo but spends completely like a millionaire.
How can a hobo wear short shorts and espadrilles to Ironman? What am I then? A poorgeois? haha
A pop of color in your wardrobe isn’t bad despite my closet looking like a sea of blue and white but like pot, alcohol and shopping, color can be overdone.
(Also, I found this vintage bag (see photo) made of natural raw leather which reminded me of a smaller version of the letter carriers used during the 1930’s. )
For a look that won’t have the girl right next to you and your family reach for their wayfarers, sport red tailored shorts and a pique polo with neutral espadrilles, weejuns, topsiders or canvas sneaks and you’re good to go.

PLAYING HARRIET THE SPY
Good things really happen when you least expect it. Last weekend after a quick trip to Powerplant and the thrift shop a few blocks from the mall, I found out via tweeter that I won myself a new Moleskine Plain Reporter
(The Moleskine Pocket Reporter has a hard cover that flips opens at the top, characteristic of reporter's notebooks.)
thanks to Avalon.ph, the longest running online shopping website in the Philippines.
After 3 long days…It finally got here!
