PARIS SOMETIMES FEELS LIKE A GIANT POP-UP STYLE MAGAZINE
Fact: Paris sometimes feels like a giant pop-up style magazine.
I had to ditch my brown brogues and blue jeans today for suede loafers, gingham and my old sweater, but it rained leaving me bored at work and I didn't feel like going through too much trouble. Not thrilled about the way it turned out.
Here’s a look I put together (I would normally wear to work) with the items available from French Trotters and no, not the horse breed from Normandy.
Tote from Filson , crisp white shirt from Margaret Howell, Beige suedes from Opening Ceremony, Monocle, scent from Comme des Garcons and trousers from Nom de Guerre.

THE COLLECTIVE
The Collective is an artful departure from the neighborhood's surrounding malls- a few blocks off the bustling Makati central business district.
Globe-trotting proprietor Dj Euric's travels to Korea and beyond to stock his cozy boutique, Crazy Eddie's with well-edited selection of vintage specs, plaids, ginghams and preppie bow and neckties.
For a meticulously culled selection of classic Americana , street and prep, check out Homeroom. Brent (Javier) definitely hit the bulls eye with his selection of hard-to-find labels, and service without pretension. Can you please bring in shirts and bags from Steven Alan?
I’m in love with the Bikeshop and oh, Blackbook isn’t bad too! High five guys!
Off to B Side for a bottle or two of cold beer - come join me!

EAT PRAY LOVE
The big-screen adaptation of "Eat Pray Love" just made me miss Bali more. The movie is a visual feast of colors, chaos, beauty and warmth of India, Italy and Bali.
I now feel like going to someplace where I can marvel at something - I'm serious. I should do this before I hit 30!

WEEKEND SUNNIES
(They were in style when I was five and they’ll never go out of style. Sunnies I got myself during my trip to Kuala Lumpur last year)
The sun is shining and I couldn’t be happier! You can't go wrong wearing a pair of tortoise shell sunnies for the summer – I actually wore one over the weekend at the beach.

TAN LINES AND STARS
No matter how I love the metropolis, it is always good if there’s room to make a quick escape. The wide open fields, the beach and the dirt road - all can be reached in a little over an hour. Trust me, the Urban rurality can really lift someone’s spirit and oh, the beach isn’t a place for jigglers and danglers – go get a room!

THE RIGHT SCRUFF, PLAIDS AND SOME BASICS
(My daily uniform looks exactly like the photo above)
I have always liked my clothes smart and well tailored without being gimmicky. I hate seeing gigantic logos emblazoned on a pocket or breast but I like how each part is perfectly sewn from the buttons down to its lining – a pretty much simple touch that adds flair without the flash.

JUST ABOUT AS PREP AS LADY GAGA
My head was literally floating last week due to lack of sleep with millions of client launches to attend, three new business pitches to prepare and barely 5 hours to work on everything, so please do bear with me.
While browsing the web earlier, I came across Comeback Kid,a local online treasure trove of blazers, shorts and shirts in pink, lilac, white, blue and khaki - great summer basics done in an artfully disheveled manner. I'm actually pleasantly surprised and impressed.
(I have always liked my clothes tailored, effortless and unpretentious but at the same time very deliberate.)
I just hope they have my size available.

OFF TO SHIBUYA? I WANT A COTTON TOTE!
I'm in love with super-light natural cotton totes. The ones from Dean and Deluca are simple yet so chic - perfect for grocery shopping, the weekend village market, out of town, the beach or a trip down south.
I should really get one for myself!
