MISSING GRANDPA
Mi abuelito has always been a sharp dresser. Growing up, I have seen him in his Bespoke suits paired with perfectly folded pocket squares, fine silk ties, and a collection of brogues, cap toes and monk straps in black, brown and tan enough to make any man envious.

ON MENSWEAR AND 30 MODEL SET CARDS LATER
It has been a week since I last posted.
Friday, The unofficial end of my week. NOT! Three tropical typhoons, 30 model set cards and a stampede of workload after, I am still at my desk trying to figure out how this online time entry works.

On the brighter side, my day was punctuated by a copy of the broadsheet my friend sent via courier with the article I wrote a few weeks back on menswear and getting it right. Hah!
I still have another article due y mi día no ha terminado todavía! Can someone get me a glass of martini!
Anyone?

Weekend advil attack
Let me wrap this weekend up right. I need to get my mind off everything and just have some fun. The past two weeks has been so busy that I hardly have known my own name. Yesterday was a much better day, hopefully today continues to be better. I think I’ll be most thrilled when my sleeping pattern goes back to normal, some sanity for myself wouldn’t hurt either. I’m sticking my head in the sand as to avoid any extra drama in my life. I am an open book, I don't get embarrassed and for sure not shy at all. All this buzz is giving me a headache. I need my bottle of advil back!

( Bored and blogging, a cup of coffee and the view of EDSA from my peep hole)

Last name baloney
Today, for instance, I taught someone how to correctly pronounce my last name. Yes, you heard that correctly. People have probably been pronouncing our cumbersomely weird French sounding last name ( It is Bu-coy not booh-coy) incorrectly all these years. You see, Dad's family tree is, well, a little... southern, mestizo and they're not real French if that makes any sense ( But granpa said we are). I have always been fine with our heritage. I happened to talk to a guy at a party who is a real French - like, from France. Apparently when he said my last name, it suddenly made sense ( and he did ask if my dad was French, like from northern France!).
Don't worry, for those of you who know me and how to say my last name... we're not going to make you learn a new pronunciation. We'll stick with dads’ chavacano roots!----
